Ancient Grain (Vegan) Chocolate Rolls
A Healthy twist on a breakfast favorite!
3 Cups (approximately) Ancient Grain 1:1 Replacement FlourAdd To Cart
2 tsp Salt
2 tsp SAF Instant Yeast (Gold)
2 Tb Olive Oil (Blood Orange infused, optional) @cavecreekoliveoil
1/4 C Date Syrup (or Honey, Brown Rice Syrup or Maple, etc)
1 Tb Ground Flax + 2 Tb Water (let sit for 20-30 min)
2 Tb Earth Balance (stick version) Butter Substitute, softened
2 Cups Chopped Dark Chocolate (I used Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate Wafers)
2 Cups Chopped Walnuts
3/4 Cup Powdered SugarSplash of Vanilla
1/4 Cocoa Powder (or Raw Cacao)
Splash of Vanilla
Oat milk (enough for drizzle consistency)
Combine dough ingredients in stand mixer w/ dough hook (start with 2 cups & add the remaining flour just until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Let it run for 5 min.
Roll dough out on lightly oiled surface into a rectangle.
Spread softened butter sub on dough, then layer chopped chocolate & walnuts.
Roll up & cut with floss (see my video!)Arrange in pan, that’s been sprayed w/ non-stick.
Cover with plastic wrap & let rise for 1.5hrs.
Bake for 30 min in preheated 350º oven til golden brown.
Whisk Choc Glaze ingredients until drizzle consistency & drizzle on top!EnJoy!!!!
